A lovely set of Antique Victorian faith, hope and charity charms fashioned in 9ct Gold with detailed foliate engraving and Birmingham hallmarks.
The Cross represents ‘Faith’ and a devotion to God, the Heart represents ‘Charity’ and to be open and caring to others and the Anchor represents ‘Hope’ as the dropping of an anchor represented the safe end of a long sea voyage. These symbols have been used together since the 18th century and characterise the important qualities a person should adhere to.
They are very sweet and would look wonderful dangling from a gold chain or bracelet.
