Knock them cold in black and gold! This big, bold costume brooch creates a scene with the pairing of black glass and gold-tone metal. An animated flourish of round, marquise, pear, and cabochon rhinestones recalls a peacock feather or perhaps a dramatically painted eye. This unsigned brooch is quite well made; the stones are individually prong-set in the golden costume metal. Its long pin allows this brilliant brooch to be worn in heavy fabrics. Circa 1960.
